Firstly, they're not finished yet, the centres only got done today and i've only placed them into the rim for the pics!
Dan: No glue or sealant used...as above, only placed into rim at minute but don't think i'll be using any! Also, i have a fair amount of patience but to be honest the corrosion weren't too bad!
way_z: firstly i used a metal curved file very carefully to remove the worst of the kurbing. Then went through the grades of sanding (80, 240, 600, 800 wet, 1200 wet, 1500 wet) Then to get the shine, used the following kit which i purchased from ebay!

Centres were shot blasted! 20 minute job. Dint pay for that though,
I'd say each rim took approx 2-3 hours. Depends really on how bad a condition they're in really!
There's still a few tiny imperfections which can be seen close up by the naked eye but don't think they'll ever disappear....they like stains in the metal and also a couple of chips in the centre of the rim which i dint want to sand down to much or i'd have flat spots on the curve!!!! Thinking of either using
Belgom Alu or just some normal wax now to protect the finish of them!
Finally, gotta decide what i'm doing about the centres. Do like the idea of Matte Black like these
or keeping as they are! Just think dirt and grime will get embedded in the rough finish of the metal!
