Do you really use the cubby hole space? i bought a single din double cup holder off vag parts and fitted it myself - it was a doddle. Looks like this below

I too would like the cup holder, but as samil87 says, the one underneath that came on the GTIs and SEs (if i remember right :P). Must give VAG Parts a call and see if they can help me out. Although to fit that one, a fair bit of the dash has to be removed unfortunately :(

How much was that cubby hole space one polo_gio? looks much better that way, it's annoying just having one, when i got mates in the car and they all rush into my car so they can get the cup holder first :)

Wasnt too much - roughtly £24 and it was worth every penny. I did have to remove my aftermarket headunit first as it lipped over the din slot. That wasnt too hard and i was done 5 minutes later.

Can you not make your central locking work with one press = drivers door open, two presses = all doors open. That way you could get in get the cup holder...then let your buddies in.......
