Fitted new alloys to my GTI today.

Post by LiverpoloGTi »

Hi,

I was able to fit my new wheels today, albeit 6 weeks after I ordered them! I had an absolute nightmare with Wolfrace, who delivered my wheels 2 weeks late with the wrong sized wheel bolts, wrong sized locking nuts and 3 right tyres and 1 left.
Anyway.. I received the correct bolts today and got straight to work getting them on the car. Im well chuffed with the new wheels and think the car looks miles better than when it was on its scabby old bbs's.

I'll shut up now and let you judge for yourself.

Thanks for the replies,

I had thought of getting my bbs refurbed but decided against as I would have needed to buy 4 new tires within the next few months as I only had about 3mm wear above the bands. So decided to buy get this wheel & tire package for £550.
Also now I can 'diy' refurb my old bbs at my leisure, something I've been wanting to do for ages (well since I bought the car last July).

@Polo_Gio, as for my next mods well I need to do the brakes before the winter so im thinking upgrading to 280mm front discs, new oem rear discs, new calipers and pads. Also im going to get some dark smoke window tint film for the rear. Also planned but longer term i want to get shortened dampers and a raceland manifold.

I gave the car a quick clean this morning and took a few better photos....

I have to say they do look good on your car and with the tyres issue i would probably have went the same route. Looking good
