When you say "buy a votex kit", are you meaning brand new from VW or from ebay?

depends on what your priorities are. As I've pm-ed, decent coilovers (FK, KW, H&R etc) start at about Â£380 online (group buys and private people omitted) and go up from there. Fitting will be at least another Â£100

a kit will cost about Â£150-Â£300, spraying Â£200-Â£300, fitting about Â£100-Â£150 so it's definitely the more expensive option.

If I was going to do both eventually, I'd do the lowering and save up for the kit.

coilovers then the votex definatly for you.

looks silly not lowered or at least not on sports springs like dino's imo

im still looking for coilies for mine, really need to get my finger out really haha!

you guys that are running the damping adjustables... do you really use it much... and is it worth the extra pennies?!

Camber is not adjustable - only two settings, toe and steer. And thats only in the front.

The rears can't be adjusted so they need to track the front in relation to how the rear is to make it go straight.

just got the tracking reset to parallel for now, wasnt that far out (about 2mm apparently) so not a huge difference. feels like it's heavier and more responsive which is good - I guess more tyre on the road in the right direction!

so all in all, top job.

i have my 9N on coilovers and standard 14s and my camber is dead on. Everyone has the Votex kit, bit too common imo.

its not often i see a votex at all. lets face it is THE only kit that should be put on a 9n!!

The eibach coilies im on have fantastic ride comfort and handling. I've already done a Glasgow to Aberdeen blast and its a more exciting drive than with standard stuff.

We had a race going to aberdeen from glasgow last wkend and speedsixs' car with eibachs could take really sharp turns that I couldnt take..The eibachs offer a huge advantage over the normal suspension..well worth it (If u can afford it!!)
