oh other things, the polo has a pedal box recall, but that can be done under warranty at any point. If you are currently trying to buy one look out for extras such as:

-heated leather (very sought after)
-Sunroof
-Winterpack

also the BBSRXII wheels are worth a bit but they suffer from corrosion which is expected!.

I'm not entirely sure what the winter pack includes, something along the lines of automatic wipers & lights when it gets dark..nothing too important haha

Naa, I think I should know by now when to turn wipers and lights on lol

Is the red lining on your grill standard? Looks very impressive!!
Are xenon's standard on all GTi's also?
Any other 'optional extras' or 'facelift' add ons I should look out for?

xenons are standard, along with air con....also look out for climate control as an extra, the lining on my grill is just red tape bent round using a hair dryer, worked better than I expected, wasnt too keen on people picking at it at the last show though, might need replacing now :( nosey bastards

o and BTW Dee Vub your car (if its the one in sig) looks absolutly mint mate

Beautiful job
Cheers mate, yeh thats my car....it has changed a fair bit from that though.....really should update my sig pic!

The guys on here are pretty good for info.....so they've told you most of the ins and outs.

The gearbox is the main prob, its a bit chocalatey....usually bearings. But my diff ended up blowing a hole through my casing last year  There is sometimes electric windows pack up a bit......they sometimes slip off the runners, which is an easy fix or the motor sometimes packs in which isn't too cheap if you need a brand new one.

The pedal box was explained, if its not already been changed it will be free when it needs it.

Keep an eye out for leather! Will bump the price of the car up, but soooooo worth it!
