Probably because producing convertibles based on superminis always ends up with a very compromised piece of design.

Take the MINI convertible, or the 206CC for example. Pointless back seats and very limited boot space.

"they made the canvass roof polo, but its not like havin a convertible tho,"

Lies!! the open air is the perfect sexy mans car!!! lol.

In truth i do sometimes feel disappointed when my roof doesn't go all the way back.,.. still.. its definitely the best sun roof before having no roof :D

That photoshop would make a really kool car though.

In all honesty i think a convertible 6N polo would ahve been incredbly sexy. Esp if it was a gti, give them CTI 205 bois a what for i can tell you!! lol.

There has been a Polo cabriolet, but it's a Mk3. It was made by a business in Germany called Treser.

http://www.treser-audi.de/stories/treserpolo.htm

There was also a Treser Audi Quattro on ebay recently, the styling was very 80's

The only way to describe that is with the bodacious term: Fununky.

Does it look good? Wel maybe not, but its still cool as Fudge.

The Tresser stuff is very very 80's!

Does make me wonder why with both the Polo and Audi Quattro cabriolets they went for such a complex designs with the removable hard top bits.
