Was just looking up :
http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/specs/dat ... eriv=18438
And it says its direct injection - is that right yeah ?
Anyone done a 1/4 mile - what times did you have ?
0-60 - is 8.4 real - or is it slower ?
What do people think !
Neildo.

at spring festival at santa pod there were two gti's going down getting 15.5 / 16.5 on the quarter mile with not fantastic starts, the 0-60 time is accurate, infact i've timed quicker than that with 3 people in the car, I think VW are fairly modest with their stats

I understand that VW's official book figures are recorded with a driver, passenger, and half-a-tank of fuel in the car. So fairly conservative.
Cheers

I clocked mine at 7.7 to 60 with vagcom, this was with a perfect start though I basically dropped the clutch at 4k and it gripped as I had warmed the tyres up. It was with almost no petrol and just me in the car. The best 1/4 mile I could do was 16.01 on a otherwise standard car, modded ones can run around 15.7.

yeah i was about to say, that must put some extra pressure on the gearbox, would love to get mine to 140 but engine mod's are taking a back seat on the long wish list

My 0-60 is about 8.3. Timed on a straight road with just me and a full tank and of course a BMC. 0.1 seconds faster than standard

Do it, then your car would be one of, if not the best Polo GTI out there, considering how it looks now

Was having a scan through forums as i haven't been on since i got rid of polo
You have a re-map and a manifold as well as bmc and powerflow.
And sitting at 140bhp,is that at wheels or flywheel ?
And is the powerflow a de-cat ?
As all i had on my old polo was a de-cat powerflow exhaust and bmc filter and got 138bhp.

you will have to ask scott (ICEYPOLO) that one as i havent had it on a RR yet but he gave me the print out when i bought the car last year.
and the other thing is ive never been in a standard GTI so cant realy appreciate the difference!!
