can't reset service interval more than 1000 miles.

So what the hell is going on here?

My service indicator refuses to go off for any more than 1k miles. I did the oil last week and reset it manually (I'm going to do the yearly service), and the bloody thing comes on again today after about 400 miles! aaargh!

anyone else has this?

Have you had a vag com on to see if it lists any problems?

nope. tis very odd and it's been doing it consistently.

every 1k, seems like it's trying to tell me something! it should be on long service intervals if that makes any difference.
