sticky stuff left behind after removing the number plate!

how do i remove the sticky stuff which is left behid after the number plate is removed from the bumber it seems hard but there must b an easy way!

help!

try using white spirit, that always helps

I think wd40 can help with that as well, but probably not as effective as the ones above

Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover, I've used it more than once on the stikcky numberplate pads and wouldn't use anything else.

tough fingers and a lot of patience was my method. after the main bits have come away and your just left with marks, then i found bug and tar remover from halfords was good!
