Gear Knobs

has any1 changed their gear knob yet ?
i bought the momo raptor 2 day but im not sure if it fits?
how do i remove the old 1 ?

I changed my gear knob to a momo one when i got the car. I'm nearly sure it's called a momo raptor. You have to pull up the old one and then pull the leather cover down over the rest of the gear knob. There's a solid metal clip around the VW gearknob at the bottom. You have to loosen this (or in my case break it off) and then the gearknob will just slide off. Then just stick down the new one and tighten it as per the instructions that came with it.I then superglued the existing leather trim to the new gear knob.

It's not a difficult job but it took me about an hour to do it cause i didn't have any proper tools for the job and all i could do is break the metal ring/clip to get the old gear knob off.

Knobs, knobs, knobs!!!! All these bloody knobs! Im quite happy with mine it does the damage
