Based on the photo you provided, and the observations of the ones on our car, i would say i don't have them. Ours are all red, and have a big reflector inside them, like you would get on a pushbike.

from what i remember they are roughly the same and some base model golfs with the same door cards
on the same subject how do you think it would look if i fitted some indicator repeators in the side of the centre console with blue bulbs cos it would be easier to wire and would light the foot wells as well as the door (which would have the red reflector in it and would thus reflect some light

I thought about fitting some clear lenses, never thought of side repeaters tho, good idea. Should look good :)

i was thinking of the clear in pro ones that look like the mk 5 repeaters but with onlt 3 led`s (they do a six led version too) but smoked, to blend in, and change the leds to blue

Sounds like a plan to me.

Sounds like a good plan. If you want to keep it all VW though, get hold of the side repeaters for the beetle. They are of the LED type, and are the same size and shape as the polo ones.

Sparkstack, I don't have them in my 2 day old Polo S either, just the reflectors

Let us know how you get on, I will also be looking to change these over to more effective puddle lights...

I just fitted some footwell lights to my mates new polo. I did them the same as I did in my golf except without a switch. They are made from two hyper bright blue l.e.ds in each footwell wired to come on with the headlight illumination. This produces a nice glow at night which looks especially good if you have shiny silver pedals. I`ll post a how-to if anyone is interested.
