how does the badge come off?

There is a small tab behind the badge at the top, you can get to this by lifting the bonnet and slipping your hand down the back of the grill. Give it a squeeze while turning the badge anti-clockwise. Turn the badge about a quarter turn and should then just pull out.

Once the badge is out you can then carefully split the chrome VW part from the part that holds it into the grill by gently pushing the tabs at the rear of the badge, but be careful not to break any.

i do like the way you have sprayed your badge up front black and the inside if you like white, shame i got a black gti, anyone tried it with red inside and black on the front? or any other colours?

i did consider the black badge look or even red inside and black outside to match the grill bar, but just thought ...naaaa

so put it back on and leaving it chrome haha
may buy another badge complete and paint than one black so i can swap and change

only problem at £13 on e bay and £3 postage then plus paint, its a little pricey

well i seem to have anoying virus on my PC at the moment and cannot be bothered to reinstall XP, Anyone else good with photoshop and fancy layering colours on a badge attached to a black polo? hehe

anyone have pictures of a gti or a car with the gti skirts colour coded along with front and rear valances painted

im looking for the gti items only here and not the votex or cup items

as im considering colour coding, but more tempted to save for apr's front mount cooler
