Amd OneClick

Post by des_pd_ tdi »

Had a word with AMD today www.auto-amd.co.uk for £299+VAT they can supply me with a module that downloads my ECU onto a card then uploads a modified ECU giving me approx 20/30bhp extra and roughly the same amount of torque.

Giving me the grand total of 130bhp and 207lbs of torque, for £299+VAT that's not bad, plus I can also upload and download my original ECU when I take the car in for warranty work. So it's undetectable by VAG.

Anyone else heard about this or have it?

Thats almost Fabia vRS territory!! which brings me expertly round to this link here .

It is a bloke who works for AMD (a friend of Toxxin by other reports here) and is trialling the pd130 1 click on his vRS.

I think you will find the power stated by VW on the pd engines is less than what is given out so closer to 140 would be on the cards.

And the blokes username changes due to technical reasons.

I know VW are conservative with power figures and in some cases performance figures quoted by VW are taken when the car is half laden, I know this does not affect engine output figures but I'm sure mine is closer to 115bhp with torque coming in for a similar increase.

So hopefully this ECU flash upgrade should release 145bhp and 220lb torque. Just hope the rest of the car can handle it, this is my only doubt.

If mine can handle 180bhp+ and the only real difference is the blue interior LED's then it should have no problem (remember there is also a pd150, and a 2 litre 180pd version is in the pipeline)

I'm going for OneClick as soon as I'm in need of it.

The vRS feels amazing with the OneClick, much to the unhappiness of Audi TT drivers ;)
