I've got another question, which connector is which with regards the brown and white wires?

I have no idea which one goes ont which.

There's a brown and white wire which connect to the back of the mirror glass, I'm not sure if it matters which one goes where though.

I was thinking it might be something to do with the heating side of things?

Just for the record, I was able to see behind the glass of the big mirror well enough to see that the white connects to the highest one of the two prongs.

you no you guys are wanting to change wing mirrors, is there such thinkg as like a blanking plate when you remove it and keep it removed?

Not that I know of, I personally wouldn't want to keep the wing mirror off anyway :?

it must be, as the one of the polos come as it standard, think it is one of the mk3's
