Howdy!
There is a gromet in the passenger foot well that goes through the bulk head. The trim at the bottom of the door/body just clips on so can be carefully removed by pulling it. I ran it all the way up the side of the car and then under the rear seats. I have no problems with running the amp/sub off the standard HU
thanks had a look today and found 2 potential areas in the footwell not sure which on to use and both seem to have something screwed on from the engine side.
it also looks very tricky to find the hole when looking from the engine bay any pictures of your wiring dino?.
Can't really get a pic of where it comes through in the engine bay as it is tucked away and the wire is now black where its been in there 2 yrs nearly.
hi pal in a 9n and golfs if you look under the dash on the drivers side you will find the main feed from the battery into the car. this is where i have my amp run to and is perfectly fine to use as it is aprox a 65amp feed witch is more than enough for any amp. also makes it handy if you use a circket breaker type fuse to turn the base off if you dont want it on for some reason because i have it located behind the removable pannel under the stearing wheel. also if you are connecting it to a gamma go to an audio shop and get the proper lead like i did plugs into the mini iso plug at the top of the head unit (blue, yellow and green) and gives you front and rear outputs and a proper remote feed to turn amp on. if you need some pics please ask me and ill take some for you and this way you dont have to get through the bulkhead and make your car leak water.
either way is perfectly fine if your running mega stuff like it sounds modified is then go to battery but that feed in the car is 65 more than enough. 200 amp fuse that will never blow lol battery only has about 110 cca on a tdi lol.
That means theyve changed them in 3 weeks When I got mine from VW the ends were flat with little notches in them. I think those keys are for the newer Deltas and upwards.
lol yeah dont think they were the right ones. my headunit is now out however was a pig to get out though so guna leave it out untill i buy my new head unit.
Can i use the vw cd player with my new head unit looking at geting a Pioneer DEH-P75BT.
