Discovering all the joys of being lowered

Been lowered for a day so far, and not all that low even though the front is pretty close to the ground. So far:

* I can just make it over speedbumps so long as i drive over with one wheel on the bump and one on the road the other side.

* I'm still not sure if I can get into my gargage and need someone to watch while I test it in case it looks like its going to hit.

* I can't go to sainsburys near work in the car anymore as the road slopes down and then up quite violently coming out of the car park and I've seen higher cars than mine scrape the front.

*When I got home and parked up outside I scraped the door on the curb! Stupid sloped road and high curbs!

And I havn't even tried multistoreys yet!

Crikey sounds like you're very low!

I'm fine with all of the above, everywhere I have been so far. The only thing I cannot tackle (at more than about 5mph) is the little country lanes where grass and dirt is left in the middle of the track - it all makes contact with the underbody!

I shouldn't be, but it does look lower than I was expecting it to, theres a little more than a keys height under the splitter now as shown by this pic:

How low is it Bryony?

As with Si, I can manage all of that lot no worries, although saying that, I've caught my splitter a few times leaving places that don't have particularly big slopes.

welcome to my world....except you seem to be lower

too many speedbumps in my town.
watch out for drivers not paying attention when they try to zoom over the bumps at 40mph and you're crawling at 5mph

Im down about 50-55mm with the votex front splitter on the front and its ok on the speed bumps which is a relief. I cant go into most driveways now though (either because of the slight kerb or the slope it involves).

Its all good though

im down -80mm and i've never had any trouble with any of those, catch the splitter slightly if im going a little too fast.

only been stuck once! lol

Mine was too low, the drivers drive shaft was rubbing on the chassis of the polo , had to get it raised and undersealed !

Ok, will put a pic up and save my new wheels as a surprise for inters as they still aren't fitted yet!

It shouldn't be that low as its only on springs and the rise is still pretty decent but it does look lower than I was expecting. I think my main problem with sainsburys and the curb at home is the stupid roads round here as I parked at my bf's last night and although the door was close to the curb, it didn't hit. The garage I was expecting because theres a big bump to get over to get into it!

I bought it off MaxZ when he was breaking his Polo, its a german make, but I'm not sure which one, not too fussed either really as it was nice and cheap, does the job better than I expected and still delivers a good ride!
