Thought i would add in the start of this months mods.

The G60 calipers and carriers, before and after wire brushing.

The carriers after some Hammerite.

The calipers :) with some goodridge braied lines :)

Last but not least the things that will make me brake !!!

280mm EBC Blind Drilled and Grooved disks and EBC Greenstuff pads (that are now black thanks to the hammerite :) ) and the Groodridge braided hoses should do well!

Next mod this month, refurb on the wheels and new tyres :)

The bad news, the gearbox is away again - and needs YET another gear box rebuild this month. 32 days the last one lasted

Yes the new brakes are 280mm. You need G60 Carriers, 280mm G60 Disks, and GTI/G60 Pads (there the same)

Cost are as follows :

Carriers : 100 quid new from Vag Parts (or look about for 2nd hand)

Calipers : Use the GTI ones (I had a spare set from a g60 so i used them - but there identical to the GTI calipers)

Discs: EBC blind drilled and grooved i got them for 130 deliveried

Pads: EBC green stuff - then black hammerite the backs - 30 quid ish

Goodridge Braided Hoses- 50 bucks approx

Approx : 300 quid
