Got some scrubbing from my wheels now because of lowness/wheel wideness so think I need some arch mods. I've heard arch rolling/flaring mentioned, how does this work and how much is it going to set me back!?

Also anyone know anywhere good that would do it near Portsmouth?

rolling removes the lip underneath the arch if there is one, and can often require some arch liner modifications too. this is cheap and just requires a rolling tool.

flaring is a lot more involved and can often crack paint. not for the faint hearted!

nope, it's just an internal mod. should give you a surprising clearance if there's a 10mm lip or so.

rolling cost me 40 quid an arch, just makesure they seal them back up

mine had been half attempted by the previous owner which is why i had my issues

id take it to your local body shop and see what they say

(i hada quote from one of Â£400+ i think they were on about flaring lol)

just had my back two arches rolled... took them to R-TEC... cost about Â£45 per arch... which is not bad considering they have a very good reputation....

they basically flatten the lip at the bottom of the arch (inside) to give a bit more clearance... from outside it looks the same.

best to take it to a decent bodyshop otherwise theres a small chance that whoever does roll them may crack/stress the paint. they should have a proper rolling machine which attaches to the hub and they would also need to warm up the paint first to prevent it cracking

Thanks everyone, will email a few bodyshops this morning and try to get some quotes, I know of a place not far away that are good but not sure if they would do it.

Very nice, was you car at inters? with the black borbets similar to the look of your old wheels? hardly recognised it...looking sweet!
