My Polo GTi Rolling Road Results

Not too bad I suppose, The engine is completely standard. I'm running V-power fuel.

Surely the figure will be horsepower at the wheel, not at the fly so you would expect it to down.

Just realised my Auntie's brother owns and runs that place, should get my GTi on there sometime.

Well! I feel I can claim back those 6bhp if I go back better prepared. My airfilter was filthy, tyre pressures were down. amongst other things. Many cars run under the expected bhp, so I was not too dissapointed. if I ran 110bhp or below then there would be real cause to investigate and solve the problem.

Run at the same time as me mate. would be good to compare under the same conditions. I went down with the Section 5 lot. do wanna come along next time? If your going on your own, give me a shout, because I want to re-run soon.

Looking at the graph he backed off a bit early my peak power was at around 6700revs when mines was on the rollers, I suspect if it had been wound round more you would have made more power, mies had the slight dip in power around 6k before it started going back up again.

wouldn't look too far into it anyway, as all rollers vary, as do the losses they calculate.

You can only really accurately use them as comparisons between cars (on the same rollers) and for doing performance modifications and looking at the relative improvements.

what was the peak power at the wheels? compare that to other results for a better comparison.

saying yours is low because someone else got 10bhp more is pretty pointless, I'd have actually thought 120 is ok if your car has now done some miles and is getting older.

I wouldn't be too fussed with worrying, TBH.

Yeah I'll have to get in touch with him and see about getting both of ours on there, be interesting to compare them back to back.

I got 127bhp with just a powerflow exhaust last Jan, other GTi's were running 126bhp and 105bhp at the time?

I have had many discussions about RR figures

As above...you can only really compare to the cars ran on same rollers by same guy on same day in same heat......so many variables.

My LCR was 210BHP.........had it rolled once at 202BHP??? propa unhappy
Ran it again few days later (to try to make myself feel better) and came away with 218BHP - much better.

Then added Remap and FMIC for silly figures but you get the idea.

I am loking forward to have my GTi done - anyone want to organise a RR day?? theres a place in Birmingham I use that could do it - unless runnging 500BHP+ lol
