Cubby Holes.. are they all the same?

Post by Minx »

I've just removed my single slot cd player and want to put a cubby hole back in place, just gone to fit it but i cant get it to go in the lower section, only with the vents at the bottom?

Are there different ones for different vw's? as i think the one i have is for a mk4 golf, i assumed they were all the same.

thanks Gemma

They are slightly different per model. the 6n2 and 9n had a different finish. The golf ones shouldnt be far off. Which slot have you got your radio in? I think the cubby hole has to be below it :)

Thanks for the reply, so its only the finish that is different? not the shape or lugs?
I wanted it in the lower din, yes, but the only way it fits is with the vents on the bottom.. and i assume they need to be on the top to ventilate the head unit? and also the bottoms usless to store stuff with holes in

Thanks Gemma

Yup no shape or lugs that are different.Your right saying the vents should be on top - you will need to take the HU out to get it in properly, as the lugs prevent it from going in any other way without damaging it :( lol :P
