The new Polo GTi NEEDS:

*******************************************
3-Door Only (sorry 5 door lads!)
1.8 20vT 180bhp (Golf Anni)
H&R Coilovers (like R32)
18" BBS Le Mans Alloys (like erm, a Porsche)
Brembo Brakes (like Cupra R's)
Decent Exhaust System with nice OE looking twin round tailpipe
Nice Rear Valance with smooth cutout for tailpipe
HID's
Fully Colour-Coded
Fogs
Recaro's
Leather
Alloy bits inside (pedals, bits on dash like Golf Anni) etc...
*******************************************

Now THAT would be a car! 8)

I'll second that. That's exactly the spec i'd be looking for in a new Polo. Fingers crossed they make an R version aswell . I reckon that new 2.0 FSI Turbo engine from the forthcoming Golf would fit under the Polo's bonnet nicely :)
Actually rather than just letting us carry on b***h' about it does anyone fancy getting together and writing to VWUK saying that it's gonna take more than the 150bph lump to temp the current owners out of their mk5 Polo GTi's. We must have a fairly large proportion of all of the Polo GTi owners in the UK on this forum. Certainly enough to make VW take sit up and take notice as we're the exact people they'd be trying to sell a new Polo GTi to!

We could put it to a poll to see how many people would be interesting in buying a Polo GTi/R??

one thing i would like to see on the mk6 gti is slightly wider arches, don't forget that this is ment to be going up against the likes of the civic type R and u no when u see a type R, so maybe some very slightly different bumpers (maybe with some slightly larger vents in the bumper)

i like the look of the mk6 so i wouldn't want to see anything major, just subtle stuff just so people no, that its a bit special
