How much for a GTi?

hi guys just wanted to kno what the ball park figure is if I wanted to buy a mk5 Gti decent-modded :?:

Also need to know what insurance group they're in as im already paying 1580 for my 6n 16v cos its in group 10.

Pretty quick but i'd luv a Gti

Hiya, I would have thought about the 4k mark for a good condition, decent milage GTI. Its insurance group 12 though so is going to be a fair bit more expensive than your 1.4!

Makes a massive difference on where you live, if you live down south expect to pay about 500/600 more than up north. Also spec of the Gti makes a big difference, leather interior fetches at least 500 more on average. Condition of the car is the most influential factor as well as mileage, a 40k GTi with mint bodywork and 2 owners can fetch as much as 5500 if it has leather interior and been well looked after.

An early above average mileage GTI would fetch 3k whilst a 51/02 plate low/average mileage one with leather may fetch 6k at a dealer

I live in probably the worst estate, in the worst part of central london whichs why my insurance is so high anyway. Doubt anyone'l insure me then as it was hard findin one already. They don't even kno about the mods, fink its standard :wink: just hope I don't crash :?
