It's very time consuming but it is the best way of filling in a plastic bumper. Filler will sink overtime and crack easily, Fibreglass is pretty good but can also deform over time

mouse who just got a plastice welder, i'm thinking of replacing my rear bumper with a fresh one as it aint that great a job, front is fine tho

Yay finally cleared my Â£300 debt with a nice Â£1200+ pay cheque this month

Only downside is I've still to get my bodywork done which will be at least Â£600. Anyway I've been making little progress. Cleaned the throttle body as it was total manky!

Got my B&M short shifter too. It was a total bastard to fit at points with lots of swearing. Had to order new pins and stuff as orignal ones failed. Taking off all the trim and accessing really awkward hidden screws was very time consuming. Car feels more sporty though. Have to get used to it now!

Just about to order heaps of new parts from VAG, and I've got a new rear badging scheme on the way. I'll keep you posted

Nice to see things getting back on track mate!

I've had my short shifter on for quite sometime and agree it makes a load of difference to the feel of the car! Although i'm sure that the only trim i needed to remove was the centre console! Oh well, as long as its fitted and all is as should be!

That's the thing, you need to remove other bits just to get access to the screws for the centre console. Bloody modern cars, I should of got a G40

Is the JVC any good and if you had the choice/money would you consider a Double Din/Pop Out Screen Units over it? Just wondering since I'm guessing you've had a fair bit of time to mess about with it.

I've had my JVC a year now. It's a big improvement just through the standard speakers. Alpine are slightly better for sound quality but they look crap and JVC are very good. I did consider the double DIN version of this headunit but ended up with the single because it was cheaper, less attractive to thieves, plus I like the storage slot underneath

These are what I replaced them with Mouse

The tweeters are the same as the one with the Silver surround but my surround is black. There's a pic below of my A-Pillar

the doors aren't being shown until they're trimmed.
