Missing plastic part on the engine of Polo GTi?

I went to see a Polo last week and the plastic part covering part of the engine is missing. I know it used to have a K & N filter on it which was taken off. Does it seem dodgy without the plastic bit ON (The one that says polo GtI)

You mean the engine cover that says "1.6 16v"?

If it has had some kind of induction kit fitted, then it's likely that the engine cover would have been removed to allow it to be fitted. I wouldn't particulary lose sleep over it, depending on how important having the engine cover is to you I guess. And you would be able to get a new one also.

wouldnt worry about it, why didnt you ask what they had done with it??
