1 year of GTI ownership

Post by Mouse_GTI »

Well it was a year today when I got my car delivered from my previous owner. 1 year later I've put on another 10k miles and had many ups and downs, but the good bits make up for the bad! Thought I'd put together some before and after shots:

So have I managed to ruin it in a year then?

The air feed just goes to the wing like the old one, but it's much better quality and less restrictive. Didn't notice much difference with the front upper brace. Did notice a big difference once I got my coilovers and lower brace fitted

Nobody likes my badge :( Ahh well I like it, though I'm gonna be trying out a new badge in the future. The colour coded is much better than all black, which looks crap on silver.

Still got lots to do...smooth bumpers, sort all stone chips and scratches, exhaust and manifold, possibly cams and remap

yeh same with my tints!!! haha, i love them tho, probs will get a light tint on the front soon tho to even it out (thats after suss tho!) yeh the colour coded background is really (what ive done to mine) i just think it looks better with the chrome badge in front of it. future plans sound great looking forward to seeing them!

Getting there Mouse! Takes time to get it right, if I'm in a year's time where you are I'd be quite glad

Don't say that lol, I've just been thinking of not getting it done. Are the better looks worth getting ruined by stone chips? My car is pretty terrible as it is cosmetically :(

Definately imo, I don't find the splitter gets too badly chipped really.

It's hitting curbs when you've got it blended in to your bumper that hurts
