Just bought a Polo GTI and disaster !

Post by quads »

Hi,

I paid for a nice Polo GTi at a nice dealership in London ( Who shall remain nameless), it was a Silver 3dr with leather and really good example for 2001 plate.

It needed some various bits of work done, before collection.

So I wait in eager anticipation from a call from the salesman for the past few days. A few days pass, so I get a call on monday morning from the sales chap.

" Bad news sir, your car was involved in an accident, on the way back from the workshop to the dealership" OH NO !!!

The dealer has offered a full refund... I am really gutted now, have been waiting a while for a decent example to show up and this happens.

almost Polo GTi owner..

Sorry to hear that mate... er... ask them if I can have the leathers.

There will be plenty more good Polo GTis about, I had the choice of 3, come to think of it, each one was a different colour.

How much was that car?

It was "sold" for 9.7k with a few extras, I hav'nt seen the damage, So I dont think it was written off.

The dealer offered a full refund, So I was happy to take that. Overall I was happy with dealer hand have no complaints.

Just gutted that I could'nt get my hands on the car.

I paid £8k for mine and it's excellent, but no leathers.

Like I said you'll get another one, think of it as a minor setback!
