the only way is to take the lining off its ok just pull the center trim off by the boot and gentally pull the lining down and the connector is close to the back just be gental with it, i had to replace the rubber seal on the ariel as it was good for nothing

I need to do that to, I saw a post about it on here a while back, dunno where i cud fish it out from do you?
taking it to a audio shop is ok but they tend to mug people off by saying that they need this and that when all they need to do is reconnect a connector i should know i used to work for a shop here in west london and i left coz this problem its a piece of p*** to do just be careful and you will be fine.

i cant find the post either but all that is needed to do this job is the repair kit from vag parts.com think its £10 just take the top center trim off carefully tho, pull the headlining down and disconnect the connector undo the nut and change it thats it. PM if you need anyhelp.
i found the thread i was looking for!!! its a sticky by josh in the DIY section, i jsut searched his name and it was one of the first posts to come up!! it won't help anything on this matter tho lol
