GTI seats on the wonkey...

Post by tegwin »

Since I bought my polo I have noticed something rather odd about the drivers seat (its the standard cloth one)....

When I get in the car and strap myself in and position myself infront of the steering wheel in a comfortable driving position I find myself sat over on the left hand side of the seat, kinda resting on the 'wings' of the seat....

If I shuffle myself into a central position on the seat it just feels all weird, like the seat isnt centralised, or is rotated slightly off centre...

Does anyone else have similar sensations and not sit in the middle of the seat?

Its possible that I just drive funny...

Il get a couple of my m8s to sit in the car and see if they have the same feeling...

It doesnt really bother me that much, i was just curious as to wether thats normal or not

Does the seat have any movement in the runners when it is locked in position? If so you may find that one of the spacers has either gone missing or come out.

Lol...thats when i noticed that I wasnt sitting in the middle of the seat..

Its not uncomfortable, I just thought it a little odd that I tend not to sit in the middle of the seat...

Il pull the seat out at some point and measure up the runners to make sure its sitting sqaure...
