F***ing Lorry Drivers (New Pics)

Post by Sershen »

I was stationary, waiting in traffic when I heard a loud crunching sound and turned round to see this through the passenger window!

It's a German Lorry driven by a Polish guy so I had to call te police to get his insurance details!

This is what my door looks like now

idiot, guess it's LHD so difficult to spot. shouldn't be on the road! :(

I've seen LHD lorries just pull out onto people on the motorway, I've even seen RHD lorries do it when they could have waited.

some of them are just plain ignorant.

my missus had similar in her beetle but it dented both panels, and the front and rear arches were screwed. cost about £2500 to fix.

I'd guess £1500.

bear in mind that's an insurance quote.

If you can source a VW door from elsewhere, and get it sprayed, you could probably do it all for a grand.

Its getting fixed next week...I'm taking it to a VW Body shop down the road from me, and whilst its there I'm gonna ask them to paint the dash inserts flash red to match the outside...

They're also giving me a Polo for a courtesy car! Wont be a GTI though

It will all be done on the insurance, but I will have to pay the excess untill its all settled then it will be refunded. But cos its a German insurance company things are bound to take longer

The body shop said if I was paying privately it would cost £1300 which includes a new Door!

Pics when I get it back!!!
