Smart Repairs

Post by gazmangti »

Hi all,

Just wondering if any of you guys have had stone chip or scratch repairs carried out to your paint work. If so are they worth the money.

I will post some picturs up later to show some scratches on my car, see what you guy think I should pay?

Cheers
Gaz

No, do it yourself.... sanding block, masking tape, rattle can primer, colour, and clear. Will never be perfect no matter who does it, so why spend a fortune.

I did this... cut away all the flaking paint, sanded, primed, primed, primed, sprayed, sprayed, sprayed (this could go on for a while), then clearcoat.

first two pics were taken with my mobile while doing it, took the last one with my camera for a better idea of how it turned out. Arnoldo and J-GTi have both seen how nasty the chip was before I did it.
