Engine cuts out at 5,000 revs

Hi guys,

My car occassionally does this annoying thing where it refuses to go over 5,000 revs. It feels like the engine is cutting power to stop me from doing so.

I was wondering if any of you guys have ever experienced this or what the cause of it might be?

mate take it to a garage....that sounds worrying..

check the ht leads and spark plugs dose it feel like its missing
