Air-Con Compressor

Post by MaxZ »

One more thing along with all other little things to go wrong with the car, my air-con compressor went and I need another one. Can anyone tell me the part number for the compressor by any chance?

This is the diagram of etka.. but which one is it?

I'm pretty sure its the cylindrical thing in the middle, but I'm sure someone can confirm it.

I thought mine was screwed but it turns out the garage I had my service in just forgot to plug it back in - dumbarses!

You would be talking about £700 from a dealer just for the compressor, your best bet is to take it to air con specalist they can repair clutch faults on compressors and source 2nd hand ones if required etc. It may be there is nothing wrong with the compressor aswell there is a pressure sensor and it if drops to low the compressor won't start its also tied to the outside temp so if this sensor is faulty and reading under 4c it won't work eithe (this would show the wrong temp on the dash display aswell)
