My bad luck

Post by Ant_43 »

I was driving down a dual carriageway doing about 70 in the fast lane on friday night, when suddenly i hear a loud bang to find this has happened:

I had just gone under a footbridge and there was also a large lorry in the slow lane so wasn't sure whether the object had come from the lorry or some **** on the footbridge. Anyway, i pulled over shortly after to find that whatever has hit it has also hit my bonnet first, then ricocheted into my windscreen. I now have a small dent & scratches on the bonnet and a windscreen to replace, plus i think i've just developed a hole in the exhaust. I'm starting to think my polo is cursed & am worried if i speak too loudly about selling up it might just decide to spontaneously combust. Perhaps that would be a good thing.....

Sorry to hear that mate, I'm having no luck with mine either at the moment. Mines sitting in the garage waiting for a new clutch and a reconditioned gearbox!

Thanks for the sympathy mate, i can sympathise with you too because i've had to replace my gearbox bearings about 6 months ago. I got a sachs cutch and lightened flywheel at the same time to try to soften the pain! It was very smooth and nice afterwards though so well worth doing the clutch.

Though i think this near enough decides it for me, i will sort all the problems out with the polo and sell up once i'm 25 (a few months away), and then move onto 1 of 2 possible car choices.
