HELP - red stripe on Grille and 'Induction Kit'??

Post by JDism »

Hi,

I have just got a 2000 silver Polo GTi and want afew minor 'mods' before I start going BIG!!
Could anyone please advise me on where I can get the red stripe from that I have seen on the front grille...looks really smart!!
Also, there seems to be so many 'Induction Kits' and 'Filters' for the 6N2 GTi...can anyone advise me on the best one for it....from a noise and performance point of view????

Many thanks :D

Hey, welcome to the forum.
Red stripe you can either paint yourself (sand down/primer/paint/lacquer) or just buy red tape from Halfords (a couple of quid)

Regarding the induction kit, there's quite a fair choice for the GTi.
You can either get the K&N panel filter (about 40 quid) minimum performance /noise gain but means you can reuse it.

K&N Induction Kit (about 90 quid) has quite a fair amount of heat soak, big noise gain.
o
Pipercross Induction kit, same as above.

BMC Carbon Dynamic Airbox (CDA) around 150 pounds, best for performance gains and noise. Check youtube.com for Mouse's Polo Engine with CDA (Type in BMC CDA and look for the Polo Gti clip)

I'm pretty sure the Pipercross Viper doesn't come with fitment for Polo GTi, but can be adapted.

If you ask most members on here, they'd recommend the CDA

Speak to Kam-Racing on ClubPolo.. Or you can order it off his website..

www.kam-racing.com You need the GTi kit, also you'll need a breather filter, but you can get one from halfords for about 7 quid.
