Can anyone tell me which cable I need to get from ebay and if release 704.1 is the right version of the software to download?

I use version 409.1, i cant get my kkl cable to work with the newer version , even although can cable says its can-interface compatible.TheEggShell wrote:Hi,

i got my cable from e-bay it came from japan cant remember the seller though sorry

My understanding is none of the non ross-tech vagcom leads work with 704.1 as the leads now have a inbuilt dongle which automatically activate the software when plugged in. For a non ross-tech lead you will need to use version 409 or 311. Any 16 pin vagcom cable should do for the MK4 Polo you only need the can bus version for the MK5 Golf generations onwardsTheEggShell wrote:Hi,
