coilovers

how do i go about setting the ride height of my coilovers?

is it hit and miss where you fit them, set a ride height, put the wheels on and see how it looks and if its too high/low jack it back up and adjust to suit

or

is there anyway to take a measurement and set them up that way because i'd like it to be around 65-70mm all round and my coiovers go a maximum of 100mm so can i bring one of the setting washer things 25-30mm up from the bottom of the thread and thats gonna be my desired ride height?

i do realise this is confusing but i cant explain very well what im trying to ask and i dont know anyone with coilovers to ask!

you are best off just getting them fitted and adjusting afterwards, its not difficult & you will probably need to adjust it after fitting anyway

haha well said! but you wouldnt be saying that if you could see the size and amount of speed bumps i have around my house!

its booked in for wednesday for fitting, ride height setting, camber setting and tracking. its a bit pricey though 160 quid!

skint for 2 weeks now

although its gonna be decked for eurofest this saturday

skint for 2 weeks now although its gonna be decked for eurofest this saturday

mine is -75mm as low as spax allow, no trouble with speed bumps, just go low

with everything priced out seperately, that doesnt sound toooo bad a price

just do it yourself, they are p*** easy to change over. That is only if you can be asked and have a full day free

tbh when it comes to cars im pretty useless so i wouldnt fancy attempting it myself.

i've now booked it into another garage, one that gazmangti from this forum recommended, its now costing me Â£120 for the fitting of the coilies, tracking and camber

really cant wait to see it!!!

I'll make one but i just need pictures, should have taken more when i changed mine over

most people on the forum seem to be pretty clueless about changing suspension over, i regret paying Â£120 the first time round i got my suspension fitted.

i fitted lowering springs on my punto but that was with someone elses help, their tools and their garage whereas i've got no tools and no where to do it.
