don't need spring compressors if you are replacing the whole strut and spring, it's only when you are changing springs over, or you want to use your original top mounts that you will need spring compressors

is it worth replacing the top mounts when getting coilovers? if so how much do they cost and with what; same but newer or aftermarket?

I think it will mess up the camber, but only by a bit

It's best to change them over, might as well while you have the chance. And i think they are about £15 from gsf

had the coilovers fitted yesterday, im not 100% happy with the ride height tbh, would've liked it to be lower and the kit goes lower but its as low as it'll go at the moment without constantly rubbing :(

drivin it a bit since having it done and wow the ride is hard and bumpy lol but it handles well oh and it does rub alot too :p

heres some pics from today at eurofest :D

I'm suprised it rubs loads, I don't get too much rubbing (only over some bumps and round fast corners)

I'm somewhere between 60-70mm

Well it is, i should really do a guide  will definately do one when i get my car back, since i need to take one of the struts out anyway. basically you can get top mounts from eurocarparts, GSF(are similar) or the stealership and yes they are are about £15 each IIRC. And all you need to do is bolt them onto the front struts, the rear ones can be taken off without spring compressors if you don't want to replace them.

Same i thought it would only rub if your tyre is either inside the arch at the top (like mine) or you have wider wheels.

Car looks loads better btw, top job 8)

trust it does rub alot, i dunno if its because of the tyres, they're sort of balloony, they're odd, i'll try and get a pic of what i mean,

the spot it rubs on is where the screw that holds the arch liner on to the front bumper is located, theres a bulge in the liner there.

oh and thanks guys, it does look alot better :D
