tyre sizes?

i know the standard tyres are 195/45/15 on 15's
but what r the best size tyres for 16" cos i'm getting a set and if they r the wrong size i'll get some tyres to fit?
205/40 or any other sizes?

How wide are the wheels?

195/40 on 6-7" wheels, 205 on 8" or 9".

195/40/16 will be best on a 6.5" width rim
