TT peddle mod...

Post by tegwin »

I saw a picture the other day of a GTI with TT peddles...they look smart!!

Where is the best place to get the peddles from?

Is it the entire peddle that you replace, or just the pad on the end?

You can get them new from either VW or Ebay.
Take your pedals off and these should slip on, the accelerator pedal tends to be bigger so will have to be glued on.

You will need RHD clutch and brake pedal "rubbers" (I know, I know, they are actually metal and rubber, yes) and LHD gas rubber as this is the best fit.

Clutch and brake are a direct swap and gas just needs some double-sided sticky tape or araldite or some such to secure it. There are many many many posts about fitting if you do a search :)

Cheers

ebay, vagparts, or just a vw dealer would be able to sort you out with a set of these.

correct,

I have this, I used araldite (glue) on the LHD accelerator, the other two fit like a glove.

Also i'd advise getting them from www.vagparts.com, they do a good price for the set, search in the product overview> VW> polo> interior> pedal rubbers.

Or give them a ring their willing to help

yup had a look on vagparts. the LHD accelerator pedal is £1.46 cheaper than the RHD one!!

i'm guessing you have to take the current pedal rubbers off before you put these ones on?

r32 pedal covers also fit with persuasion, but are a bit more pricey :D the tt ones are thinner alluminium and the accelorator one bends quite easily to match the curve of the accelorator. ive got tts on the polo and have also fitted them to my previous mk2 golf 16v and mk3 golf gti with relative ease. if the rubbers are stiff to get on then drop them into a cup of boiled water for a few seconds to loosen them up :D
