Yeah, that was meSiDaBa wrote:Slightly off subject but it's still a spotted members old car
I believe I saw your Polo at Bluewater to Ollie_R
Take it you sold it as it was?
... you did sell it right?
I haven't sold it yet; there's not much interest for it as it is, so I'm starting the process of parting it out.

what happened? i tried searching for something but didnt find anything. I only found a thread of him asking for pics of a car with tints cos he fancied it?Ollie_R wrote:Nah, he was alright, he had a good taste in cars and everything. He seemed a bit arrogant at times, i.e. when he had the hissy fit over tints.
Actually it's quite funny when people take their opinions a bit too far.
To be fair, he apologised though. He edited his original post on that thread from "They look gay, tints are for homos" or something to "They look nice".PhilGTi wrote:LOL?
f*****g chill out, i was just kidding, i guess im too used to club polo, and forgot how offended people get on here.
Apologies.
It was a bit out of order for him to say that people get offended on here, opposed to CP. At least we have an club house, I'd imagine it must get boring on there; talking about cars all the time.

Having met and dealt with Phil in the past (I have his Eibach springs on my car) and also spoke to him a lot, I'd defend the fact he's a decent guy.
Also the comment he made shown above (quite a while ago now) about here and Club Polo, I can kind of see the context behind it. On here, if people don't like what you've done to your car I believe that they're unlikely to say anything, whereas on Club Polo they're more likely to tell you "that looks crap" "I don't like it" etc.
Overall I'd say there's a fine line between arrogance and opinion, and that it comes down to personal interpretation a lot of the time.
