yet again something has gone wrong with the car! :(
anyone know what is wrong with my blowers?
on the fan adjustment numbers 1,2 annd 3 dont work only 4 blows air.
also the ac only works on number 4.
any ideas and how can i fix it? i`m not paying vw to do it as i will have to re mortgage the house.

I dont think re-mortgaging any house in southwick would give you enough money to get vw to take a look at it.
Best bet is to check the switch and the motor. If not, take it down Vee Dubs (the scrappy) and they'll diagnose it for you.

been to vedubs (the scrappy) today and they reckon its the resistor on the control module.it means taking the dash off,air bags ect, costing 200 sterling to fix it as its an all day job.
think i will just leave it for now or fix it the easy way costing a fiver.
(gallon of petrol and a box of swan vestas) :twisted:

Has anyone else got a possible solution to this?

Id prefer not to pull my dash apart :shock:
Is there no way the resistor can be replaced/the control module removed without any dash dismantling?

Just had the EXACT same thing happen in my polo tonight on my way to a mates house :(

If I were you, I'd wander across to www.briskoda.net as this seems to be already causing problems with the Fabia.

took it to my local garage and replaced the resistor for £60.didnt even take the dash out,just replaced it gaining access from the passenger foot well.
