VAG-COM help

Post by The_phat_controlleruk »

Not sure if I can post this here, I have a licenced copy of VAG-COM with a lead off ebay. I have looked at my ECU and I have numerous errors, also, my engine is racing away (1200-1500 RPM). The last time this happened I had someone clear the errors for me and the RPM went back to normal. I have version 311.2 and can't find where you clear the codes. Also, do I need to perform "basic settings"?, the manual for VAG-COM said this could be used for TB alignment but seeing as I don't have a service manual I don't want to screw anything up. Cheers for any help.

Go into autoscan and enter what car you have, once it finishes scanning it will give you the option of clearing all error codes, alternatively you can go into the individual controllers to clear the codes on that controller. You would need to press the select control module button for that - then whichever controller it is - then fault codes and finally at the bottom clear fault codes.

Hope that helps mate,

Haris
