Latest Blue Peter 'scandal'

Post by Bryony84 »

Heard on the news and read in a few places that Blue Peter have been accused of rigging their online poll for their new cats name a while back. Apparently they didn't give it the name which came out top in the poll and instead came up with a different name.

Now I think this was quite sensible considering the top name chosen by viewers was.... Pussy!

I can just imagine the start of the show, 'Welcome to Blue Peter, you join me stroking.....'

..... has just come in from the Blue Peter garden soaking wet!

I realise this is a bit random but I've heard it 3/4 times on the News now and it amused me! If mods etc think its inappropriate, feel free to delete!

Hey its healthy to think about things like that. probably not in that context though. would blue peter really put "pussy" on a poll. with us teenagers around, i dont think so.

The article I read said 'variation on the name 'puss'' and that it was changed as it was inappropriate. Radio one said it was 'pussy' this morning and then by this afternoon they were saying it was 'cookie' (which there would be no reason to change). Really quite random!

Seems to be a lot of conflicting info... another cover-up I expect!
