Should I go larger??

Post by shantybeater »

Hi guys, I'm wanting an opinion on my wheels, I personally like the way they just about tuck into the arches

The other option which won't cost much more is to sell the 1's replace the rims with 2's or 2.5's so I can stick the backs (1.5's) on the front and stick the wideboys on the back. If I do this will I get alot more scrubbing?? and do you think its worth it? will it look better or stick out too much at the front?

Here's a few photos:

Keep them as they are, 1" on the front and 1.5" on the rear. I'm running standard 0.5" on mine both front and rear and although I love 'em enough (although they are a bitch to keep clean) yours look much better with that extra dish!

I think your car looks spot-on as it is 8)

I think wheels that sit flush with the arch look loads better than wheels that stick out; they don't look right, if you know what I mean.

I say go bigger, think that will give it a nicer stance! Not sure on rubbing though

I do like them a lot as they are, but another half inch all round would look stunning. I think the black centres are done to death. Do them a metallic grey (vw pearl grey would be spot on).

Ah ya posted it in the MKV section too.... I replied over there.

Wider rears.. it shouldnt rub (they wont be turning) and if it does you can raise the rears a few mm, no one will notice cos they'll be so fat! 7 front 7.5 rear, perfect stance.

And if your thinking of colouring the centres... I like GOOOOOOOOOOOOLD!!!
