a few weeks ago my 1.6 AEE suddenly, after a bit of driving so engine up to temp etc started stuttering and losing power, i was giving it plenty of gas but the revs just weren't coming up.
then seemed to clear itself and took it for a journey up the motorway, then it happened again the next week while driving round town, engine to temp but just about.
then while driving it to cardiff from bristol it seemed ok to start off with but getting nearer cardiff it was having the problem pulling away at roundabouts and accelerating and then in cardiff at lights etc it was really bad and stalled once, but was going along very slowly at low revs but loads of gas.
is this a throttle body problem? it seems ok starting up. i recently changed the plugs and cables but this problem started several weeks after that.
have had loads of problems with this car unfortunately, thermostat housing and the water pump has just been changed (which was why it went to cardiff to where i bought it from), could this problem have been caused by the dodgy water pump?
