i think i may have started something here

lovely looking car Chris, i was always under the impression that the 2.0tdi was a 140bhp engine (i know the new shape Leon has a 140bhp).
the leon FR diesel has 175bhp (i think).
i like the altea alot but would probably be too big for me, so i'm looking at Leon size next me thinks!

yeh Dan, its a 140, did some research yesterday! i have found out though it will easily remap to 175 :-D
Not sure if it would be worth doing or not...

175 sounds about right to me for a phase one custom code, phase two should see that go to about 200!
i haven't got a remap myself (it is on my 'to do' list) but i've heard many people say that it is very worth it.
bhp and torque go up and sometimes mpg can be increased aswell. apparently the car becomes much more useable with more torque!

I wouldn't get it done for a few months or when you eventually want more power you'll have to do silly stuff to the engine (ie turbos etc) rather than just a simple remap which is always worth it!
