The 2007 (temporary) winter look

Post by Si_GTi »

Some of you will recognise these wheels I think... olop_chris may be having deja vu!

After the incident with the dented RM I pushed ahead and got these fitted ASAP without any repainting or 'out. They'll be off again by the end of the month if all goes to plan :)

These wheels are now on their fourth Polo 6n2 GTi

Chris, super deja-vu there looking at that pic of yours, then I glance out of the window and see mine outside looking identical!

I binned the 50-profile tyres, I think three were fecked anyway. They have my 195/45 Toyo T1R and T1S fitted from off the BBS. Need some new T1R soon... not much tread on the rear tyres (2.5mm).

I'm really warming to how they look on the car actually, the slightly curved 5-spoke design is a wee bit Porsche in its style IMO.

Could keep them on and run the car through winter before selling up in March when the 08 registrations knock more money off a 9n3 Polo GTI... what do you think?!

Cheers

They dont look bad at all them Si, especially now with the 45 profile tyres!

Never got round to taking any pics of them when on my car, but they looked pretty crap on a silver car IMO.

Winter rims has reminded me to get a move on and try and get my original RXII's in some order ready to go soon! Can't be cruising round on 16" RXII's with salty roads! :x
