Don't have any pics thistime, but ported the exhaustports last night, also started sanding (pre-polishing) the inner works of the inlet and exhaustports 8)

exhaustports are now as big as the 1600 inletports were

Time for an up-date:

Bought meself some fibreglass doorboards from Germany lately, wasn't what I expected and didn't match my style/taste/interior, so kinda pissed me off.

And then there is only 1 solutoin, make yourself some by your own hand

MFD-speakerrings, from 18mm thick MDF, those speakers aint going nowhere!:

How it should be looking like:

Finally got this, got the rings to go a bit deeper inside the boards, all covered in stretch and ready for fibreglassing it!:

Up, up & away!

Hopefully I can make something nice out of it.

Also finally got this baby from Germany:

Adjustable camshaftpulley, last thing I needed for the engine, hopefully the weekend of 10 november is enough time to assemble back the engine, put it in again and install the air-ride  8)

Jarno,
Looking forward to seeing the body, engine + suspension all in the car!

Do you have a target to finish the car by? I know a project car is never 'finished', but you know what I mean....

Cheers

Well, yes, it will never be ready, I haven't put it back together and already the next plans are in place

But I don't really have a target, on the 10th the air-ride is going in by what means, assembling back the engine depends on whether I've got me head back from the refurb-man that assembles it back for me, then I can assemble and mount the engine again, planning for that is asap 8) Can't wait any longer for driving my baby :D

Was a long day today, started at about 9, finished at about 8, but the air-ride is transplanted from the persons mk4 who's sold it onto my mk4, and it all works perfectly.

Still need to tidy up the boot, and make some small adjustments to the set-up (not to keep on some little details so far), but that will come in time, biggest concern was to put it in and get it working.

Here some small flicks I took:

And me in the mk4, playing with the switches

That battery costs around the same as my annual insurance and i need to drive over to Spain to get it!!

With the air ride in does that mean the engine is already assembled? I want to see the whole grey/black matt combination.

Keep up the good work,

No, engine isn't assembled yet, also installing the airride showed that the bearings from the front shockmounts were gone  so need to get some new ones from Bonrath, these are metal and increase the stifness of the suspension   moddin'never stops
