Dino,
the MKIV is well known to handle like a boat, the chassis design is older than your Polo for starters.
If you want to improve the handling, the best thing you can do is fit a rear ARB (anti-roll bar). It is the best bang for buck modification on the FWD MKIV chassis, and is actually more effective than lowering 30mm. I had a MKIV before the Passat I now own. Either a 25 or 28mm bar is fine, a fixed one is fine (as opposed to adjustable) and it's an easy DIY fit, even for a novice mechanic (i've fitted 2).

Great advice thanks! What one and where would you recommend getting it from?mk4 glx 1.6 wrote:Dino,
