Can anyone reccomend an insurance company>?
Yea man I need to declare my mods. This is my first year of driving and I didn't think I would have modded it as much as I have. I'll just wait for this year's insurance to get completed and hopefully God willing I don't get into any accidents. Then I'll try the companies you guys have mentioned.
Shouldn't be too expensive with the mods declared right?
I'm 22, will have been driving for one year no claims (hopefully) this January and the mods are mostly cosmetic; rims, angel eyes, alloys, grill, front spoiler and possibly a new exhaust set up by then.

My current insurance is with my bro's mate who's a broker so the guy really helped me out and isn't getting much cut from the policy himself. As soon as he mentioned 'I night be getting alloys' the guys said they wouldn't carry on insuring me if I did. So obviously he told me not to mention it cos everyone else on a standard 16v were giving me £3k ball park figures or a straigt 'no'
Mine's an 8 valve so it shouldn;t be too much I guess. The angel-eyes make such a difference! I still need to get rid of the rest of the orange lights. I bought bl00dy smoked indicators and now I can't find them! Also, how the flip am I supposed to fit those onto my car? Remove the mudflaps? Dubbin is so complicated at times..

Technically failing to mention mods makes your policy void. If it's the alloys in your pic that are in question then not to worry dont think anyone will be stealing themNOZ wrote:My current insurance is with my bro's mate who's a broker so the guy really helped me out and isn't getting much cut from the policy himself. Can I just ask if you can see the black spokes in my sig, if you can't then thats why everyone keeps thinking it looks grose cos believe me a lot of people ask about the rims. Twits don't know what the ripspeed logo looks like.
I'l post pics up if I ever manage to get my new rims on. Then everyone'l want to steal em; probably have to use two sets of locking nuts
from a financial point of you id think so, but
1) next year when i live off campus ill need a car
2) when im enjoying the stupid amount of time we have off ill need a car
3) I LOVE MY CAR!!
I guess i could get something cheaper and crapper that isnt high insurance and leave it standard... BUT I DON'T WANT TO!! I LOVE MY POLO!
